Justice dialogue meeting Justice

EU/UNDP Amkeni Wakenya Project

Addressed barriers to accessing justice among marginalized communities in Garissa County through legal rights awareness and legal aid information.

Created safe spaces for engagement between communities, legal actors, and decision-makers using KESHO's youth-led dialogue model.

Amplified grassroots voices in policy discussions and promoted more accessible and inclusive justice systems.

Together for Religious Freedom

Promoted freedom of religion and belief while addressing discrimination against marginalized religious groups in coastal and northeastern Kenya.

Convened youth and women leaders, religious actors, civil society, and security and justice institutions for dialogue on human rights and social cohesion.

Strengthened stakeholder capacity, generated evidence, and created collaborative spaces for joint action.

Community peace dialogue Peace & Inclusion

Daris Wanaag Project

Promoted peace, gender equality, and social inclusion in border communities in Ijara Sub-County.

Strengthened local peace structures, increased women's participation in peacebuilding, and supported economic empowerment for women and youth.

Supported collaboration between communities and local administrations across Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia.

Kijana Jihusishe Project

Strengthened youth leadership in promoting peaceful, inclusive, and nonviolent electoral processes during the 2022 elections.

Implemented in Garissa, Marsabit, Mombasa, and Nairobi using KESHO's youth dialogue platform and peer-to-peer approaches.

Helped shift perceptions of youth from drivers of electoral violence to leaders in peacebuilding and democratic engagement.

Youth E-Space discussion Youth Engagement

Youth E-Space

Created a safe youth-led platform where young people could engage in dialogue, identify community challenges, and co-create solutions.

Formed five thematic clusters: entrepreneurship, skills and knowledge, leadership and governance, peace and cohesion, and community development and women empowerment.

Contributed community-driven recommendations to the National Action Plan on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism.

Garissa Youth and Media Innovation Hub

Provides young people with access to innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Creates space for youth to learn, collaborate, and develop solutions to community challenges while building sustainable livelihoods.

Nurtures young innovators and entrepreneurs through skills development, mentorship, tools, and networks.
